Instructions for Eye Exam Preparation
Vision and Eye Examination
Vision is one of the most vital senses of the body, allowing us to see our surroundings clearly. Regular eye examinations help detect any changes in your vision, enabling timely correction if problems arise.
Preparing for Your Eye Exam
To ensure the most accurate results, please follow these recommendations before your visit:
- Get Sufficient Rest: Please sleep for at least 8 hours to ensure your body is refreshed. Well-rested eyes function more efficiently and yield more accurate test results.
- Abstain from Alcohol: Please avoid alcoholic beverages before the exam. Alcohol can cause blurred vision and pupil dilation, which may affect the accuracy of the prescription measurement.
- Bring All Your Eyeglasses: Please bring all your current and old eyeglasses (even those you can no longer wear) so the doctor or optometrist can compare your vision history.
- Stop Wearing Contact Lenses: Please discontinue contact lens use for at least 2 days prior to the exam. This allows your eyes to rest and return to their natural shape, as contact lenses can cause temporary corneal distortion, affecting measurement accuracy.
Important Note: Please inform the optometrist or doctor of any medical history or current medications, as they may affect your vision (e.g., Cataracts, Glaucoma, Diabetes, Hypertension, etc.)
The ISOPTIK Eye Examination Experience
ISOPTIK The Hi-End Eyeglasses Centre places the utmost importance on eye examinations. We dedicate approximately 3 hours to a comprehensive analysis of your visual system using advanced 3D Digital Technology.
This process includes testing lens structures and frame fitting to design Ultra individual progressive lenses. These lenses are crafted with high precision to match the specific visual behavior of each individual user.
Examination Steps
- History Taking & Consultation: The optometrist will conduct a detailed interview to gather information about your visual behavior, such as your occupation, daily activities, and hobbies. This ensures the glasses are designed for real-world usage.
- 3D Digital Eye Examination: We use a 3D digital system to analyze nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism in each eye across all distances. The exam covers all gaze directions—up, down, left, right, and oblique angles—to determine the optimal lens structure for your specific visual habits.
Benefits of a Comprehensive Eye Exam
A detailed eye examination ensures that you receive eyeglasses that truly match your prescription and lifestyle.
- Result: Natural, crystal-clear vision.
- Relief: Reduces eye strain, fatigue, and headaches.
- Prevention: Helps prevent future eye health problems.
After the Examination
Once the examination is complete, the doctor or optometrist will discuss the results with you and recommend necessary solutions, such as prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, or further medical treatment for eye conditions.
Regular Eye Exams
Regular eye examinations are essential for maintaining clear vision and safety. To prevent potential eye health issues, it is generally recommended to have an eye exam at least once a year, or more frequently if you have a history of eye disease.
