Reduces reflections by 50% for a sharper visual experience.
When you wear eyeglasses, reflections occurring on the lens surface disrupt your vision. Anti-reflective coating helps keep the lenses clear, allowing you to experience much sharper images.

Delivers clear vision while providing 100% protection against UV radiation.
Harmful UV rays can cause damage to the eyes, such as cataracts and macular degeneration. LayR technology not only features a protective layer that stops UV rays from penetrating the front surface of the lens, but also prevents reflections from the back surface of the lens.

Elevates coating durability, providing better scratch resistance than before.
The larger the scratch on a lens, the more it disrupts your vision. Looking through a scratched lens for an extended period can cause eye strain and headaches.

Design Technology

Lens design technology that allows wearers to choose a structure matching their lifestyle. Whether you work at a computer, engage in outdoor activities, spend time at home, or prefer lenses tailored for specific activities like driving, sports, or customized layouts. The structure can be designed with a precision down to 0.1 mm/step, providing a perfect lens structure tailored to individual needs.

Individual Parameter

An individual progressive lens design technology that incorporates specific parameters affecting progressive lens layout, including face form angle, pantoscopic tilt, corneal vertex distance, as well as individual monocular PD for each eye. These are calculated to match real-world usage and frame characteristics, resulting in an excellent progressive lens structure for all types of frames, even highly curved ones.

Power Customization

A structural calculation and design technology calculated from each customer's actual parameters, such as prescription, addition, PD, or specific frame data including face form angle, pantoscopic tilt, and corneal vertex distance to find the optimal structure first. It is then processed using high-precision Freeform Technology, providing an excellent lens structure across all prescriptions.

PD Optimize Inset

A technology that calculates and designs the inset of the progressive structure to perfectly match each individual's convergence during intermediate and near viewing. This expands the usable viewing areas at various distances, providing a more natural user experience.

Visual Sensitivity

Processes the Visual Sensitivity Index based on brain perception response to blur within the lens (aberration). It expands the field of vision by up to 42% or reduces the perception of image distortion by up to 30% for a more natural viewing experience.

Spherical Optimization

A technology to reduce the Base Curve Effect by incorporating myopia or hyperopia values into calculations along with the front surface curvature of the lens (Base Curve). This calculates power errors caused by the Base Curve Effect and applies compensations to eliminate those errors, resulting in an improved, excellent lens structure for all near- and far-sighted prescriptions.

EyeLT® Technology

The latest technology available exclusively in Rodenstock lenses, breaking traditional rules and surpassing previous lens manufacturing limitations by compensating for changes in astigmatism power and axis during near vision. This provides sharper intermediate and near vision, and most importantly, delivers a field of view up to 25% wider than conventional lenses.

3D Freeform

A new lens surfacing technology with high design freedom using a tiny surfacing head at the micron level, controlled by computer software calculated and designed to fit your unique identity. This ensures Rodenstock lens production achieves precise accuracy tailored to individual details.

HOA : High Order Aberration Consideration

Compensates for HOA or reduces high-order refractive aberrations both on the lens and within the eye. Utilizing advanced calculation via Wavefront Technology combined with pupil size data, it delivers sharp images during both day and night.

Wavefront Technology and Retina Focus Principle

Advanced calculation technology applied to various design and manufacturing methods where extreme precision is required, such as LASIK or progressive lens production. It effectively manages light aberrations and compensates for variables based on the actual wearing position, resulting in sharp images and reducing eye strain during prolonged use.

Variable Inset

A technology that designs the inset or convergence distance to match eye movement when looking at various distances. By calculating the inset from the prescription and addition values, intermediate and near zones become wider as the eyeballs remain centered within the usable zones at all times.

High-precision lenses featuring an individual biometric eye model, utilizing data measured from each person using the DNEye® Scanner.
Precise measurement with the DNEye® Scanner uses over 7,000 data points and more than 80 eye parameters to create an individual biometric model. ColorMatic® Dark combines maximum darkness, stable performance even at high temperatures, and in-car activation technology into a single lens. When outdoors, the lens adjusts its darkness level up to 90%, providing excellent glare relief while retaining high clarity and visual comfort when moving indoors.

Although dark sun lenses protect the eyes well from sunlight, they reduce color perception and contrast, which subsequently impairs depth perception and fine detail detection. Rodenstock can do much better.

Lambda Lens Technology
Optimizing contrast values by reducing blue light.
Contrast enhancement is achieved by reducing the amount of blue light passing through the lens. Because within short wavelengths, light scatter is mostly blue light, resulting in reduced visual contrast. Our Lambda technology sun lenses reduce a higher portion of blue light transmission, rendering a much sharper view.
Additionally, in high-glare environments, sunglass lenses utilizing Lambda technology minimize light scatter by reducing reflections, further improving visual clarity.
